Trisha is the daughter of Mr. Krishnan and Mrs. Krishnan (Uma). Her birth date is 4th May 1983. Like many celebrities, Trisha also started her carrier with modeling assignments. She appeared in many TV advertisements including that of Fair and Lovely and Josco Jeweller. She also starred in Falguni Pathak’s music album Meri Chunar Ud Ud Jaye.
Her debut film was Jodi as a small cameo. It was Priyadarshan who offered her the lead role in the film Leysa Leysa. The film grossed $2 million at the box office. Leysa Leysa is a remake of the Malayalam movie Summer In Bethlahem directed by Sibi Malayil starring Suresh Gopi, Manju Warrier, Mohanlal and Jayaram in the roles of Shaam, Trisha, Niranjan and Vivek respectively. After the success of first movie, then it was the time for flops for Trisha.
However she came to the limelight with the release of the movie Mounam Pesiyadhe, in which she played opposite Surya. Her hard work paid off and won critical acclaim. She then played Vikram’s lady love in the mega blockbuster Saamy. The next huge film she took part in followed immediately afterwards, was Ghilli with Vijay, which was a remake of Telugu blockbuster Okkadu.
In 2004 Trisha produced biggest Telgu hit of the year with the release Varsham. For her next Telgu movie she won Filmfare Award and Nandi Award. The movie was Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana directed by Prabhu Deva. Trisha acted in the Tamil remake of this movie also, a 2006 film, Something Something… Unnakum Ennakum, where she acted opposite Jayam Ravi., Something Something… Unnakum Ennakum did well at the box office.
Trisha is determined to make an impact in Bollywood also. She recently replaced Rani Mukherjee as the Brand Ambassador of Fanta India. Also she has replaced Preity Zinta the brand ambassador of Scooty Pep+. She is also the brand ambassador for Fiama Di Wills, a product by ITC. Krishnan is now starring in a movie with Kamal Haasan. She will make her debut in Bollywood with the film Khatta Meeta.
