‘Galliyan’ is a soundtrack from the movie ‘Ek Villain’ which is an upcoming romantic thriller film directed by Mohit Suri. Starring Siddharth Malhotra and Shraddha Kapoor in the lead and Riteish Deshmukh makes his debut as an antagonist with this film. The film is produced by Ekta Kapoor under the banner of her production house Balaji Motion Pictures. The film released on the 27th of June, 2014 and the official teaser released on 4th April, 2014.

In the film Sidhharth Malhotra will play ‘Guru’, Sharddha Kapoor will play ‘Aisha’, Riteish Deshmukh will play ‘Rakesh’ and Prachi Desai will have a cameo appearance. The song ‘Galliyan’ is composed by Ankit Tiwari. Three songs from the movie are composed by Mithoon and one song named ‘Awari’ is composed by Soch (band). Lyrics of the song ‘Galliyan’ are written by Manoj Muntashir and the length of the song is around 05.41 minutes. The track is a romantic number and the actors have gone all mushy in it. The actors Siddharth Malhotra and Shraddha Kapoor had stayed seven hours under water to shoot the song. Shooting the song alone took seven hours during which the pair enjoyed themselves a lot.

The actors are marine – junkies, Sidhharth love scuba diving and Shraddha Kapoor is a trained diver. The film is generating a lot of buzz about Siddharth Malhotra’s grey character and the chemistry they share in the film.

According to the song ‘Galliyan’ sets the mood for the rest of the album. A full blown romantic song, the lyrics talks about a lover yearning for the roads that lead to his true love. The arrangement is simple, and the focus is on the chorus that stays with you even after the track ends. Ankit Tiwari who has found super stardom with Aashiqui 2 does full justice to the song. One can imagine playing this song on a long drive, or sitting by the beach sipping on a mojito with your loved one. The song is already on top of the iTunes charts since release and will dominate airwaves when the film releases.”
